Family tradition, dedication, and pride are the values which separate Jay Industries from other companies. Four generations of the Taylor name have been manufacturing in Mansfield Ohio since 1917 when Glen Taylor started Taylor Dise Company. What began with the production of radiant gas heaters quickly changed to metal stamping when Taylor Metal Products was formed in 1928. By 1937 Glen's oldest son Richard G., joined his side to help in the family business. Through the next 30 years the press shop advanced using coatings of nickel-chrome plating on their products. In 1968 Dick Taylor created Jay Plastics; an injection molding division where his son Rick began working for him the very next year. After 20 years of growth Jay became a separate entity in 1989 and developed thereafter into a multi-facetted business servicing the automotive and appliance industry.  The organization officially became known as Jay Industries, Inc. in 1995.  With the help of Rick Taylor's two sons, Brent and Josh, the company remains family owned and operated to this day.  While Jay remains loyal to their industry roots; continuous diversification into heavy equipment, lawn and garden, agricultural, bus, large truck, specialty vehicles, and other O.E.M. markets play a fundamental role in achieving balance and stability for the future of Jay Industries. Throughout the years Jay Industries, Inc. has proudly developed into a state of the art, vertically integrated metal and plastic product supplier. Jay Industries' unique ability to control the manufacturing process from the raw materials to the finished product enables them to maintain a superior quality standard and aggressive market pricing.

our employees continues to be rewarding." - Rick Taylor.
